Our Story

Luminous Lens Studio began as a humble dream in the heart of Amelia Stone, a recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, back in 2010. Fueled by a passion for photography and a desire to create meaningful art, Amelia envisioned a studio that wasn't just about taking pictures, but about crafting lasting memories. She started small, working out of her apartment, but her dedication to quality and her unique ability to connect with her subjects quickly garnered attention.

The studio's early days were marked by a series of local projects, from family portraits in Willow Creek's picturesque parks to documenting community events. Word-of-mouth spread quickly, and soon, Luminous Lens Studio outgrew its initial confines. In 2013, Amelia took the leap and established a physical studio space at 42 Oak Street, Willow Creek, CA 95400 – a bright and inviting location that has since become a landmark in the community.

Over the years, Luminous Lens Studio has evolved and expanded its services to encompass a wide range of photographic specialties, including wedding photography, event coverage, commercial work, and newborn sessions. We’ve embraced technological advancements, incorporating cutting-edge equipment and innovative techniques, while remaining true to our core values of artistry, professionalism, and personalized service.

Amelia's passion for photography began in her childhood. She holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and brings over 15 years of experience to Luminous Lens Studio. She specializes in portraiture and fine art photography.

Our studio, located at 42 Oak Street in Willow Creek, California, is a bright, spacious, and welcoming environment designed to make you feel comfortable and inspired. We've carefully curated the space to foster creativity and provide the perfect backdrop for capturing stunning photographs.

The studio features a versatile shooting area with a variety of backdrops and props to suit different styles and themes. We have a dedicated newborn photography area equipped with soft lighting and comfortable blankets and accessories. Our editing suite is equipped with the latest software and professional-grade monitors, allowing our post-production specialists to enhance your images to perfection. We also have a comfortable waiting area where you can relax and browse through our portfolio while we prepare for your session.
